Adopt Pets

When looking for a dog or cat to add to your family, have you really thought about looking into local animal shelters? If participating in shows or other competitions does not interest you, then there really isn't a need to put out the big dollars for a purebred. Think of this.. purebred animals tend to have more health issues than mixed breeds. You can pick just about any purebreed of dog and they will have a list of inherent health issues that the owner will have to deal with eventually.

If you have your heart set on a dog or cat of a particular breed, there are breed specific rescues and shelters in Ohio. Most of the humane societies and animal shelters will have some purebreds available at any given time.

When you adopt pets from your local area or anywhere within the state, you are giving a second chance to a homeless soul in Ohio.  What better time than during the holidays to welcome a dog or cat without a family into your warm home.  Think about it.
